The Little Kite Who Learned to Fly Higher
In a cheerful village by the sea lived a small blue kite named Skye.
Skye loved watching the other kites soar high above the clouds, painting the sky with bright colors.
Every day, Skye tried to fly as high as the others, but the wind seemed too strong, and Skye felt too small.
“I wish I could fly like them,” Skye whispered.
The Old Windmill, who had watched many kites learn and grow, gently turned its blades and said:
“Skye, every kite begins close to the ground.
What matters is not how high you fly today, but that you keep trying and believe you can learn.”
Encouraged, Skye practiced day after day.
Some days were windy, some calm; some days Skye rose a little higher, and some days not at all.
But Skye remembered the windmill’s words and didn’t give up.
One morning, a strong but friendly breeze arrived.
“Ready?” it asked.
Skye felt brave.
“Yes!”
With one determined pull of the string and one deep breath of courage, Skye lifted higher than ever before — past the rooftops, past the tallest tree, dancing joyfully with the other kites.
The children cheered, the windmill smiled, and Skye realized something important:
“I didn’t need to be the biggest or the strongest.
I just needed to believe in myself and keep going.”
MORAL OF THE STORY
Ambition grows when you practice a little every day.
Confidence grows when you believe you can improve.
And great things happen when you don’t give up.
