The First Awakening
Long before humanity walked the Earth, the planet belonged to fire.
The continents were still young. Rivers of lava cut across endless plains of black stone, and the air was thick with sulfur and volcanic ash. The sky glowed with deep shades of crimson and violet as strange storms flashed silently across the upper atmosphere.
High above the Great Rift, enormous Draconian harvest platforms floated between the clouds. Their purpose was simple: collect the rare monoatomic gold hidden beneath Earth's crust and send it through interstellar gateways to the Draco Empire.
Standing on a cliff of polished obsidian was Commander Kaelen, one of the Ciakar High Command.
Nearly six meters tall, covered in dark emerald scales and natural armor, Kaelen watched the mining fields without emotion. His golden reptilian eyes constantly analyzed every movement below.
To the Draconians, planets were not worlds.
They were resources.
Every mountain was ore.
Every ocean was energy.
Every living creature was either useful... or expendable.
Deep below, thousands of workers moved through the volcanic valley.
The Draconians called them the Looloosh.
They were powerful biological beings, genetically engineered for survival in Earth's brutal environment. Their thick skin resisted heat, radiation, and toxic gases. They worked without question because obedience had been written directly into their minds before they were ever born.
One of them was designated Worker 3A-7.
Among his own kind, however, he carried another name.
Zuri.
As he struck the rock with his heavy iron tool, he suddenly stopped.
Something had changed.
The ground beneath his feet was vibrating.
Not from machinery.
Not from volcanic activity.
This vibration felt... alive.
It moved through the stone like music.
It reached into his chest.
For the first time in his existence, Zuri hesitated.
Instantly, a cold voice echoed inside his mind.
"Worker 3A-7. Productivity has decreased by 2.9 percent. Resume extraction immediately."
Kaelen.
The command did not come through sound.
It was projected directly into every nerve of Zuri's brain.
Normally, his body would obey before he even realized he had received the order.
This time...
nothing happened.
Instead, Zuri slowly knelt and placed one hand on the warm volcanic ground.
"I hear another signal," he whispered.
"It comes from beneath the stone."
High above, Kaelen frowned.
His neural interface displayed abnormal readings.
Worker 3A-7's genetic control matrix was becoming unstable.
Impossible.
The obedience coding had never failed before.
Kaelen activated a fleet-wide communication channel.
"Scan for external influence."
Seconds later, another officer answered.
"Commander... we are detecting an unknown harmonic frequency entering the planet."
"Origin?"
"Beyond the local star system."
Kaelen's expression hardened.
"The Pleiadians..."
For generations, the Draconians had blocked every attempt made by the civilizations of Light to reach Earth.
Now, somehow...
a signal had slipped through.
Not a weapon.
Not a virus.
A resonance.
A frequency capable of awakening consciousness itself.
Below, Zuri closed his eyes.
The vibration inside the Earth grew stronger.
He could feel every heartbeat around him.
The rivers.
The mountains.
Even the molten core beneath the planet seemed alive.
For the first time, he realized something astonishing.
The Earth was not merely a world.
It was a living being.
He slowly stood and looked toward the stars.
"They are calling us home..."
The words escaped his lips before he understood their meaning.
Nearby workers stopped mining.
One after another, they lifted their heads.
The strange resonance spread from mind to mind without language.
No speeches were given.
No rebellion was planned.
No orders were shouted.
They simply remembered.
The tools slipped from their hands.
Across the entire valley, the sound of iron striking stone disappeared.
Silence covered the ancient Rift.
High above, Kaelen watched the impossible unfold.
Thousands of workers stood motionless, staring into the sky.
For the first time since the Draconian Empire had claimed Earth...
obedience had been replaced by choice.
And Kaelen understood something his people had feared for ages.
An awakened mind could never be fully controlled again.
